**Photo Advisory** Outman sworn in as state senator for the 33rd District

LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Rick Outman was sworn in for his first term as a state senator representing the 33rd District on Wednesday during a ceremony at the state Capitol. Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Stephen J. Markman administered the oath of office.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, the 100th Legislature convened for its first day of business.

“It is quite humbling to be a part of this body,” said Outman, R-Six Lakes. “My staff and I are ready to serve and I look forward to getting down to business. There is a great deal of work to be done if we want to keep Michigan on the right track.”
