Nesbitt announces selections for caucus Policy Transition Committee

LANSING, Mich. — Today, incoming Senate Republican Leader Aric Nesbitt, R-Lawton, announced the formation of the Policy Transition Committee for the Senate Republican caucus for the 2023-2024 legislative session.

The committee will be comprised of the following members:

  • Sen. Lana Theis, R-Brighton, Chair
  • Sen. Roger Victory, R-Hudsonville
  • Sen. Mark Huizenga, R-Walker
  • Sen.-elect Thomas Albert, R-Lowell
  • Sen.-elect John Damoose, R-Harbor Springs
  • Sen.-elect Jonathan Lindsey, R-Bronson

“This group of forward-thinking individuals will work to formulate a legislative agenda that delivers results for Michigan families and hardworking taxpayers,” Nesbitt said. “With inflation still high, volatile energy prices, and families still looking for tax relief, I have complete confidence in this group to propose real solutions to help deliver tangible results for the people of Michigan.”
