Sen. Victory comments on 2019 State of the State address

LANSING, Mich. — After listening to the governor’s 2019 State of the State address Tuesday night, Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture and Rural Development Chairman Sen. Roger Victory, R-Hudsonville, issued the following statement.

“With a new administration come new priorities. I hope the governor recognizes the tremendous strides the state has made the past eight years to put us on a foundation for continued success.

“Fixing our auto insurance problem so folks don’t have to continue paying sky-high rates should be job one.

“Of course, the governor mentioned fixing the roads. We can all agree that they’re in miserable shape; can we agree on a solution?

“I am happy the governor expressed a commitment to continuing the recent tradition of a timely budget process. I look forward to working with her office on that and other important issues in the upcoming year and beyond.”
