LANSING, MI — State Sen. Jim Runestad was presented with the 2024 Defender Award by Michigan Health Freedom President Abigail Nobel on Dec. 3 for his efforts to expose “bias and bad math” and the “logical fallacies of implicit bias training” while pushing back against “woke health care” policymaking.
“Radical, ideological woke politics have no place in state health care policy,” said Runestad, R-White Lake. “I will always call out the bad data that is often misrepresented to support these terrible ideas and support the rights of health care workers to do their jobs and Michiganders to receive the best care possible.”
