LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Mark Huizenga, R-Walker, welcomed retired U.S. Army Sgt. Joshua Lunger to the state Capitol on Thursday as his special guest for the Michigan Senate’s 30th Annual Memorial Day Service, which honored Michigan’s fallen soldiers.
Lunger is currently vice president of government affairs for the Grand Rapids Chamber. Prior to joining the chamber, Lunger served as a scout and paratrooper in the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division and fought in Iraq from 2006 to 2008. He continued his service in the Michigan Army National Guard until December 2010.
