Johnson applauds $10M investment in Grand Blanc Township

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Ruth Johnson on Friday said the people of Grand Blanc Township will see a $10.09 million investment to establish a new manufacturing facility and create up to 50 jobs as the result of a recent state grant.

“This project will bring new career opportunities to Grand Blanc Township and the entire area and help bolster Michigan’s role as a leader in automotive and advanced manufacturing,” said Johnson, R-Holly. “I applaud DAG Technology for their tremendous commitment to our region and everyone who helped make this project a reality. It’s hard to overstate the impact this investment will have for the people of Genesee County.”

The Michigan Strategic Fund this week approved a $300,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant to DAG Technology to help establish a new manufacturing facility at a former supplier location in Grand Blanc Township.

DAG Technology is a subsidiary of DAG LTD, a global leader in decorative wheel trim supplying to automotive OEMs. The company plans to begin onshoring its component manufacturing from its existing facilities in China.

Michigan was chosen for the project over competing sites in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Texas and Mexico.
