Dear friend,

The 96th Session of the Legislature presents a new opportunity to reinvent Michigan and I am proud to serve as Senate Majority Leader during this new chapter in our state's history.

In January, 38 men and women took the oath of office and swore to uphold our state constitution. These senators have come to Lansing, ready and willing to work hard for the people of Michigan.

As we all know, Michigan has seen hard times before and we have emerged from the struggles and hardships of the past ready and able to create a better future. Once again, we find ourselves at a crossroads. We can continue to do business as usual and preserve the status quo or we can suffer together in the short term with the knowledge that short-term sacrifices, and sometimes pain, will help us achieve long-term success.

In the following pages, you will find the individual messages of my fellow Senate Republicans as well as our plan to put Michigan back on the right track. We are all dedicated to making our great state a better place to live and to work. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you in the Michigan Legislature.
