Sen. Stamas committed to constituent service, drops off 9,000 free publications
LANSING—Sen. Jim Stamas announced on Friday that his office has dropped off 9,000 copies of various publications to libraries, chambers of commerce and offices of city and county government throughout the 36th Senate District.
“I believe that public service begins with serving the public, so providing the best constituent service possible has always been a top priority,” said Stamas, R-Midland. “Providing these complementary publications is part of my commitment to help residents better understand their government and the services that are available to them.
“The guides can be picked up at locations throughout our region or by contacting me.”
The publications are designed for residents of all ages and include a citizen’s guide to state government, booklets on veterans and seniors services, pamphlets containing the Michigan and U.S. constitutions and a “Getting to Know Michigan” coloring book.
“As part of my goal is to serve you to the best of my ability, we will soon be holding office hours throughout the district to hear directly from local residents,” Stamas said. “I also encourage anyone who needs assistance with any constituent or state government issues to please contact me.”
Residents may request a free publication or assistance with a state issue by contacting Stamas’ office via email at [email protected] or by calling the toll-free number at 1-855-347-8036. To mail a letter, the address is Senator Jim Stamas, P.O. Box 30036, Lansing, MI, 48909.
Stamas represents the 36th District, which includes Alcona, Alpena, Arenac, Gladwin, Iosco, Midland, Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego and Presque Isle counties.
