LANSING—State Sen. Mike Kowall, R-White Lake, (front, third from left) holds the ribbon as it is cut on Saturday for the official opening of the pedestrian and equestrian crossing on Milford Road. The crossing is located at the Kensington Connector Trail at the East Huron River Parkway intersection in Milford Township.
The crossing will be the first in Oakland County to have a push button to activate the cross-walk signal that is placed at a height appropriate for a person on horseback, in addition to the regular pedestrian button. Kowall attended the ribbon cutting with his wife, state Rep. Eileen Kowall, R-White Lake (second from left); and several other state and local officials.
