LANSING—Sen. Rick Jones, R-Grand Ledge, proudly welcomed Jim Jackson to the Capitol on Tuesday. Jackson (right), an employee at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant and a UAW 652 member, accompanied the senator for Gov. Rick Snyder’s 2015 State of the State address.

“General Motors is the largest employer in the 24th District and one of the largest employers in Michigan,” Jones said. “I look forward to supporting reforms to assist our home-team businesses – such as GM – expand and create jobs here in Michigan and attract new entrepreneurs to our state.”

Jones represents the 24th Senate District, which includes Clinton, Eaton and Shiawassee counties and the northeastern quarter of Ingham County.
