LaSata sworn in as senator of 21st District
LANSING, Mich. – State Senator Kim LaSata was sworn in as Senator of the 21st district on Wednesday during a ceremony at the state Capitol. Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Stephen Markman administered the oath of office.
LaSata was joined in the Senate chamber by her husband, Judge Charles LaSata, her children, Sarah, Anna, Chas and Claire, and Jared Hannapel, for the occasion.
“This is an incredible honor and I am grateful for the trust the people of the 21st Senate District have placed in me to represent them in the State Senate,” said LaSata, R-Bainbridge Township. “I look forward to all we can accomplish together over the next four years to make our state the best place for families, talent and jobs.”
