Kowall, Nofs and other participants will discuss the Oct. 27 “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Event to Thank and Honor Vietnam Era Veterans and Their Families” formal lapel pinning ceremony in Battle Creek. Michigan Air National Guard 2nd Lt. Andrew Layton will moderate the press conference.

South Haven native, Vietnam veteran, and Medal of Honor recipient U.S. Army Spc. 5 James C. McCloughan will perform the national anthem at the Oct. 27 ceremony and address the audience. In addition, the Cereal City Concert Band will perform a selection of patriot music under the direction of Conductor Dr. Stephen White, and the Hooligans Flight Team will do a flyover in a Missing Man formation.
