Horn welcomes Michigan sugar queen to Capitol
LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Ken Horn welcomed Michigan Sugar Queen Shaelynn Lavrack and Court Attendant Haley Bell to the state Capitol on Wednesday.
Lavrack, who was named Michigan sugar queen last year, was joined by Bell as the two made the trip to Lansing to meet with lawmakers.
“Both of these young ladies do a terrific job of serving their communities,” said Horn, R-Frankenmuth. “They have spent the last year serving as ambassadors for a major Michigan industry while also maintaining their studies in college. We need to make sure we hold on to young talent like this here in Michigan!”
