LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Mark Huizenga, R-Walker, released a statement after voting for final passage of the fiscal year 2026 state budget.

Below is the text from Huizenga’s audio statement:

“This budget is about putting West Michigan families first — cutting taxes, easing the cost of living, and investing in schools so every child has a chance to succeed. It’s not perfect, but it proves that when we work together, we can deliver results. I’ll keep working across the aisle to solve problems and strengthen our communities.”
