Richardville comments on finalized K-12 budget
LANSING – After the Michigan Senate approved a K-12 budget Thursday to provide schools with financial certainty for the coming school year, state Sen. Randy Richardville, R-Monroe, issued the following statement:
“Funding for our schools is extremely important and one of our top priorities. I am pleased that there were financial resources available to not only maintain funding, but increase the level for school districts across the state.
“While this is tremendous news for schools, it’s important to note the state is still facing an overall budget deficit. The Senate has approved a plan to balance the budget. We will continue to advocate for reforms that will save the state money.”
