Sen. Jansen welcomes Deborah Drick as chief of staff

LANSING — State Sen. Mark C. Jansen, R-Gaines Township, recently appointed Deborah Drick of Howell as his chief of staff.

“I am happy to have Deb join my team,” Jansen said. “She brings a great deal of talent and determination to the table. Deb is a great addition to my staff and I know she will work hard for my constituents in the 28th Senate District.”

Drick, of Howell, has a diverse and well rounded background. Previously she worked as a nonprofit executive and small business owner and has been involved with education.

“I am very excited and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and support Senator Jansen and the residents of the 28th Senate District,” Drick said. “I have a great deal of respect for the senator and look forward to being a part of his team. It’s going to be a great year.”

The 28th Senate District is part of Kent County and includes the townships of Ada, Algoma, Alpine, Bowne, Byron, Caledonia, Cannon, Courtland, Gaines, Grand Rapids, Nelson, Oakfield, Plainfield, Solon, Spencer and Tyrone, and the cities of Cedar Springs, East Grand Rapids, Rockford, Walker and Wyoming.
