Sen. Jansen reacts to Senate vote on Cobo Hall
LANSING — State Sen. Mark C. Jansen, R-Gaines Township, issued the following statement today after the Senate voted on the Cobo Hall package:
“We must be proactive to ensure the North American International Auto Show stays in Michigan. While our primary goal, if at all possible, is to keep the show in Detroit, keeping the show in our state is vital. That is why I have sponsored and co-sponsored legislation to achieve this key goal.
“Through coordination and cooperation, we can help make sure Michigan remains the home of this show, which pumps hundreds of millions of dollars into the state’s economy each year.”
Senate Bills 585-588 now go to the Michigan House of Representatives for further consideration.
