Sen. Richardville makes free tax guides available
LANSING - State Sen. Randy Richardville, R-Monroe, announced today that copies of the latest Michigan Taxpayer’s Guide are available through his office Web site.
The guide, which is a reference for the 2008 tax year, is designed to help residents prepare their tax forms.
“The guides provide the latest information on many of Michigan’s taxes, including recent changes to tax laws,” said Richardville. “They are a useful resource and can make the burdensome job of tax preparation less complicated. I encourage residents to get a copy because it could simplify the process and possibly help them save money.”
The booklet contains information on Michigan’s taxes and tax credits. Included is a year-long taxpayer’s calendar with reference to important tax dates and filing deadlines. Also inside are copies of the most commonly used tax forms, as well as addresses and phone numbers for obtaining state agency tax information assistance.
Free copies of the tax guides are available for residents of the 17th Senate District on Richardville’s Web site at: www.senatorrandyrichardville.com. Click on the Publications link to download the guides.
Richardville will provide copies to local township and municipal offices for anyone without Internet access. Residents may also contact his office toll free at (866) 556-7917 to receive a free copy.
