Sen. Richardville offers comments following State of the State address

LANSING - Sen. Randy Richardville, R-Monroe, issued the following statement in response to the annual State of the State address:

“I applaud the governor for her emphasis on the need to dramatically restructure state government.  We must work together in a bipartisan manner on reforms that will reduce state spending and provide services in the most efficient and effective way possible.

“There’s no question Michigan is in the midst of a dramatic reorganization, and the old habits of both business and government are unsustainable.  As policymakers, it is our duty to lead by example and provide a climate that keeps job providers in Michigan and delivers on the promise of a brighter future.  I look forward to working with the House and administration to make Michigan a better place to live and work.”

Richardville escorted the governor into the House chamber prior to the start of the address.
