Senate MBT Impact Assessment Subcommittee to hear from Grand Rapids businesses

WHAT: The MBT Impact Assessment Subcommittee will convene hearings in four cities across the state to gather input from taxpayers on the impact of the Michigan Business Tax and suggestions for its improvement.

BRIEF: The MBT replaced the widely despised Single Business Tax last year. Since the inception of the new tax, the Senate Finance Committee has heard copious testimony that the tax is unduly harming small businesses.
The subcommittee will make recommendations to the full committee in June.
