LANSING, Mich.—State Sen. Mike Green, R-Mayville, welcomed the Cros-Lex Lady Pioneer softball team to the state Capitol on Tuesday for a special presentation during Senate session. The Sanilac-County-based team recently won the Little League Junior Division World Championship.
“We are proud of these young athletes and their coaches for winning this year’s softball Little League Junior Division World Championship, with a perfect 6-0 tournament record,” said Green. “These young ladies demonstrated the qualities of real champions: dedication, hard work, commitment to teamwork and display of good sportsmanship, and I could not be happier for them.”
