Sen. Judy Emmons Invites Residents to be Heard

LANSING – State Sen. Judy Emmons today invited residents to voice their concerns and questions to U.S. Department of Agriculture officials about a proposed new Land and Resource Management Plan that would ban firearm hunting and snowmobile use in the Huron-Manistee National Forests. 
 
Public meetings are being held to answer questions on the process.  Only questions and written comments will be accepted at the meetings.  The time and locations are:

Written comments may also be mailed to Lee Evison; Forest Planner; Huron-Manistee National Forests; 1755 S. Mitchell St.; Cadillac, MI 49601 or sent by e-mail to comments-eastern-huron-manistee@fs.fed.us.  E-mails should contain the subject line "Forest Plan SEIS."  Comments must be received by Feb. 11.
 
All comments, including names and addresses, are considered part of the public record and will be available for public inspection.
