LANSING — State Sen. Judy Emmons will host Lt. Gov. Brian Calley as the opening presenter of a free speaker series in Mt. Pleasant on Thursday.
“I am pleased that Lieutenant Governor Calley will be coming to Mt. Pleasant to kick-start the breakfast club speaker series by talking about transforming Michigan,” said Emmons, R-Sheridan. “I am sponsoring this free series to allow area residents a chance to hear from their public officials about important state and local issues in a comfortable setting. There is no charge for the event and everyone is invited to attend.”
Calley will be speaking about “Moving Michigan Forward with Bold Moves” on Thursday, March 15 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Camilles on the River, located at 506 W. Broadway St. in Mt. Pleasant.

The Speaker Series for the Breakfast Club will include stops throughout mid-Michigan with guests talking about a variety of topics.
