LANSING, Mich. — Sen. John Proos recently toured the Owens Products facility in Sturgis with owner Gary Kirtley II, who purchased the company in 2007.
“Small businesses are the heart of our economy — driving innovation and job creation,” said Proos, R-St. Joseph. “Owens has been making truck products and accessories in Southwest Michigan for two generations, and it was wonderful to see that the company is still going strong and providing good jobs for area residents.”
Founded in 1965, Owens is a family owned and operated company that is a leader in automotive aftermarket products, selling truck running boards, aluminum tool boxes, dog boxes, garage and trailer accessories as well as its custom made products.
