LANSING—Sen. John Proos discussed the career and technical education (CTE) programs that are working in Cass County with the county’s CTE director Mikki Spagnoli at the Michigan Capitol on Wednesday.
Spagnoli was in Lansing for the Michigan Career and Technical Education Programs Lansing Showcase Day. Proos is planning to tour the Cass County CTE facilities and meet with students participating in these programs.
“Career and technical education programs offer a way for students to learn from their instructors about what they can do in vocational careers through creativity, collaboration and hard work,” said Proos, R-St. Joseph. “I look forward to learning more about the Cass County program by visiting and touring their CTE facilities soon.”
Proos introduced Senate Bill 66 in January to allow students and schools the flexibility to establish career and technical education programs.
