LANSING— Sen. John Proos, R-St. Joseph, and Rep. Al Pscholka, R-Stevensville, (right) welcome Vietnam War veteran Bob Williams (left) to the state Capitol for the Michigan Senate’s 19th Annual Memorial Day Service, which honors Michigan residents killed in action during the previous 12 months.
Williams, of Benton Harbor, was appointed by Gov. Snyder in February to the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund board of trustees and attended the service as Proos’ guest. Williams served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam and has been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1137 in Benton Harbor since 1979, serving as post adjutant/quarter-master for 15 years.
A print-quality photograph of Proos, Pscholka and Williams is available by visiting Sen. Proos’ photowire at: www.misenategop.com/senators/photowire.asp?District=21.
