LANSING—Sen. John Proos announced on Tuesday that he will be holding a tele-town hall meeting Wednesday evening to discuss the year’s accomplishments and listen to residents’ concerns and ideas for 2014.
This will be the latest in a series of tele-town halls Proos has held throughout his time in the state Legislature. More than 8,700 residents participated in the senator’s last tele-town hall in June.
“Being an effective public servant begins with engaging the people about the many important issues facing our state and our families,” said Proos, R-St. Joseph. “The tele-town hall allows us to recap the year’s achievements, discuss priorities for next year and — most importantly — give residents a forum to express their viewpoints without having to leave home.
“I look forward to talking with residents Wednesday night as part of my continued efforts to serve the hardworking people of Southwest Michigan to the best of my ability.”
Proos’ tele-town hall meeting will take place Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 7:05 p.m. Residents wishing to participate may join the meeting by calling 1-877-228-2184 and entering ID Code 19012, or by submitting questions via Twitter by using #SWMITownhall.
Residents unable to participate in the tele-town hall may contact Proos’ office at any time by calling 1-517-373-6960 or by email at SenJProos@senate.michigan.gov.
