State Sen. Joe Hune, R-Hamburg Township, joined Gov. Rick Snyder at the Capitol Tuesday as he signed his first public act as governor. The farm-friendly legislation, which Hune sponsored, will help ensure that Michigan farmers who voluntarily comply with state environmental standards receive real benefits. Public Act 1 of 2011 (Senate Bill 122) provides a level of consistency and certainty for environmental outcomes and economic investment.
