LANSING—Sen. John Proos, R-St. Joseph, works with Southwest Michigan native Shane Preston (center) in the Michigan Capitol. Preston was raised in Constantine, graduated from Constantine High School and served in the Marine Corps as a machine gunner while deploying overseas to Iraq twice. He graduated from Western Michigan University in 2012 and now serves as legislative director for Sen. Dale Zorn, R-Ida, (right).
“It is wonderful to work with Shane. He brings Southwest Michigan values to the Capitol and talent to the Senate floor working with legislators and staff from around the state,” Proos said. “Our offices are working together on many issues facing both Southeast and Southwest Michigan – such as recently partnering on the resolutions regarding safe storage of nuclear fuel.”
