LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Phil Pavlov, R-St. Clair Township, announced Friday that the Michigan Senate Education Committee will conduct its third hearing on Michigan’s academically failing schools on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

•    Senate Education Committee members;
•    Veronica Conforme, chancellor, Education Achievement Authority; and
•    Cindy Schumacher, executive director, The Governor John Engler Center for Charter Schools, Central Michigan University.

Presentations from the Education Achievement Authority and The Governor John Engler Center for Charter Schools about their work related to the topic of Michigan’s academically failing schools.
