LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Jim Stamas has announced that the Joint Committee on the Flint Water Public Health Emergency will hold a public meeting in Flint on Tuesday.

Sen. Jim Ananich, D-Flint, co-vice-chairman of the committee;
Rep. Ed McBroom, R-Vulcan, co-vice-chairman of the committee;
Sen. Joe Hune, R-Hamburg;
Rep. Jeff Irwin, D-Ann Arbor;
Rep. Edward Canfield, R-Sebewaing;
Local Flint officials; and
A joint committee discussion regarding the Flint water health emergency with local officials and members of the public. In an effort to give as many people as possible an opportunity to testify, public remarks will be limited to 3 minutes per person.

The joint committee was created to review the findings concerning the Flint water emergency, take testimony on the mistakes at all levels of government that led to this situation and explore potential policy legislative actions to prevent a similar disaster in the future.
