LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Joe Hune, R-Hamburg, was named the most conservative member of the Michigan Legislature by Inside Michigan Politics with a 100 percent conservative voting record. He is also the only member of the Legislature to have a perfect voting attendance.
“It is an honor to be named the most conservative member of the Legislature for a fourth time,” Hune said. “I’m glad my record of opposing unnecessary spending and fighting to reduce the tax burden on the hardworking residents of our state has been recognized.”
Hune previously was named “Most Conservative” in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Hune’s perfect conservative rating was based on the voting records of all 148 members of the Michigan Legislature.
